The outer shell of the cacao bean. Most producers throw it away. We brew it.
Cacao husk tea is a light, naturally low-caffeine infusion with a gentle chocolate flavor and delicate floral notes. From the same Nicaraguan heirloom cacao we use in our bars. The husks are separated during cracking, dried, and packaged for brewing.
Tasting notes: mild chocolate, slight nuttiness, subtle floral hints. Lighter than you expect.
How to brew: steep 1 tablespoon in 8oz hot water for 5 to 7 minutes. Strain. Drink it straight, or add a splash of milk and honey.
Nothing goes to waste. Every part of the bean gets used. 4oz bag. Vegan. Store in a cool, dry place.
